Because Arajet’s US network is young and still moving, so what it flies on your dates is a genuine question rather than a formality. It opened its first US route in 2025 and has been adding cities since. An agent checks what is actually operating when you want to travel, and totals the fare with the bags you are taking, since baggage is charged separately.
Arajet is a Dominican ultra-low-cost airline that began flying in 2022 and has grown into the largest carrier in the Dominican Republic, with a network of around 26 destinations in 15 countries. Its hub is Santo Domingo, with a second operation at Punta Cana. The other reason to call is everything a search box cannot do. If the itinerary is complicated — several cities, an open jaw, a long stopover — someone has to check that it genuinely connects rather than only looking like it does. If you are booking for a parent who needs wheelchair assistance at the gate, or for a child travelling as an unaccompanied minor, that has to be arranged with Arajet and confirmed on the record, not assumed.
